You probably may not have noticed, but I've just returned from a mini road trip to Bendigo :) I was away from Sunday to Wednesday, and I auto-scheduled my last post, so sorry for the late replies to questions in the comments section, I've only just arrived back and am trying to keep up to date :) I actually did manage to go op shopping in Bendigo surprisingly and ended up buying a(nother) oversized jumper, as well as a shirt with a lace collar + a military style shirt :) All for $11.50 too!

I must say that as soon as I got home, I got working! Today I've just finished making my lovely swing tags for my store. I am actually really happy with the way they have turned out, and can't wait to share them with you all! I am now up to the stage of photographing some of the items I've made so far, but it may still be a little while before everything is up and running as I haven't finished making enough to warrant the opening of my store :)

Anyway, the main reason why I am posting today is that my lovely parcel from Bluegrass Booty Vintage has arrived!!

A couple of months ago, I received a delightful email from Jenny of Bluegrass Booty, asking if she could use one of my photos in her flyers! I said yes of course, and in return, she let me choose an item from her store to send to me for free! Exciting it was, I have already had so many items bookmarked from her store! In the end, I chose a lovely trapezium shaped chain bag, and I because I just couldn't narrow it down to one item, I bought another bag too :)

Here is the arrival of the parcel! I always love receiving parcels that are packed and shipped beautifully, it enhances buying online and makes it a wonderful experience :)

Here are the little flyers with me on it! I am absolutely ecstatic about this and can't believe that I am on Bluegrass Booty's flyers!

Onto the two bags now..! I was so eager to rip open the tissue paper but just had to stop and take a photo of the cute little stickers she used to pack the items, which just makes receiving your items so much more fun :)

Say hello to my new trapezium shaped chain bag! I have a thing for structured and shaped bags, and I have wanted a trapezium shaped bag for so long. So I must say, seeing this in Bluegrass Booty was like a dream come true :)

And do say hello to my new vintage doctor bag style sling bag! I was so drawn to the way this bag opens, I just had to buy it :)

Jenny was ever so kind to include a couple of extra gifts for me, these two 80's woven neckties (She wrote in the card 'I thought these would be useful in your headband making -- vintage 80's woven neckties! I know you can turn them into something fabulous!') Thankyou/I'll try my best and show you the final result when I'm done :)

And these sunglasses!

I can't wait to bring these two bags into action, and of course get some creative juices flowing with the bows. The sunglasses will have to hermit for a while until Summer arrives, and when it does come, be sure to see them in frequent use, as I am always needing sunnies when it's sunny - for some reason I get headaches if I don't wear them :S

I've noticed that Bluegrass Booty Vintage is having a sale for July. It's Buy one and get the second item half price! So be sure to check the little store out, it's filled with lots of amazing vintage finds :) Just some information for Australians who are purchasing, my parcel arrived after 5 business days, which I thought was very impressive for overseas shipping!

Also, I just wanted to say a humungous thankyou Jenny for sending me the parcel and for the little gifts which came with it. I really appreciate your kindness and wish you all the best :):)

Onto some other little news,
K is for KANI now has a Facebook page! This page will basically be the official Facebook headquarters for KANI. I will post my blog updates & shop updates up there, for those who have Facebook and would like to use it as a tool to keep in touch here :) It may not be so impressive for a couple of weeks until I get the hang of it, but do join to keep in touch :)

And lastly, I've been making Pokeball pencils in my spare time for some friends, and will be listing some on my Etsy store for novelty's sake :) These ones are made of felt, and open up just like a real Pokeball! I think I might experiment with some other materials too :) Just thought I'd share with them with you, in case I have some Pokemon fans as readers too hehehe :)
