However, back to real life, back to summer school and back to my travel posts. I've finally put together my Gili Islands post, these are all taken on my iPhone (protected by my trusty Lifeproof waterproof case - so handy) so it's a bit of an Instagram diary. Tom and I took a snorkelling tour which we booked through our resort. We drove through windy roads bordering the coastline to board our boat to the islands, stopping halfway to take photos of beautiful backdrop behind us. We ended up visiting two of the islands - Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan - snorkelling around at both as well as having a quick stopover too. We spotted some turtles! The water was the clearest I've seen. The only downside being that I have never ever seen we so much broken coral that washed up ashore! Tom and I also took a few snorkelling videos on our GoPro which I'm yet to edit (promise I'll do it soon, after I hand in my last essay!), but for now, I hope you enjoy the stills :-)Photos: Thomas Debono & I
