Glamping at Peninsula Hot Springs, Melbourne, Australia

If you’re looking for a unique and special getaway in Melbourne this winter, look no further than the gorgeous new glamping experience that has just opened at Peninsula Hot Springs. Glamping at the Peninsula Hot Springs only opened less than a year ago and already has been super popular and well booked out, especially on weekends!

We were invited by the lovely team to try their Glamping and Dine package which is the standard glamping package + dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s perfect for a special occasion - a birthday, anniversary or even local mini-moon!

If you’ve been thinking of booking this experience for yourself, come have a look below to learn more!

This barrel pool above is found at Spa Dreaming Centre - access of which is included with your overnight glamping stay.

The glamping experience is designed for two and includes access to all site bathing (including overnight bathing, which they have recently started doing - yes 24 hr bathing!), wellness activities and breakfast. There are also optional add ons to the package such as dinner and spa treatments as well.

The glamping tents are situated in separate area on the grounds but area close walk to all bathing areas. The tents are secluded with a good amount of privacy and are set amongst gorgeous gardens and ponds.

Whilst the main structure is a large luxurious safari-style tent, the floors inside are heated and there is also a split system inside as well. The adjoining ensuite and toilets aren’t enclosed in the tent but can be found as little rooms attached the tent which you can reach through the doors. Super cute, comfortable and well thought out!

When we visited, it was a pretty cold day (May) but we didn’t find it cold at all in the tent. It actually felt quite well insulated - the heated floors in particular were quite toasty.

Inside your spacious glamping accommodation you will find plenty of relaxing areas - chairs outside, a gorgeous arm chair/day bed, a full-sized wardrobe, all amenities and all the other things you’d expect in luxury accommodation. There’s even room service as well!

One of the things I love about staying overnight at the hot springs is that you can make the most of being on-site by visiting the bathing areas at otherwise less convenient times of the day - e.g. early morning when the sun is rising, or late at night for a magical overnight bathing experience, before and after the day-trippers are visiting.

It’s also so nice just being in and amongst such a rejuvenating space, just smelling the fresh air and looking out at nature makes everything feel so relaxing and slowed down.

We had dinner (part of our Glamping + Dine package) in the evening at the Spa Dreaming Cafe. Everything served at Spa Dreaming Cafe is thoughtfully healthy and refreshing. We ordered the grass-fed ox cheek (was done so well!) and super green salad with turkey (the flavours here all worked so delicious together). The dinner package also includes drinks and a shared dessert platter as well.

How beautiful is a morning at the hot springs? We visited the clifftop pool at the bathhouse to have a peek at the sunrise and ended up also getting greeted with a magical view of low-hanging clouds across the plains.

The barrel pools you see pictured here are all found in Spa Dreaming Centre which is the adults only section of Peninsula Hot Springs. If you haven’t been before, I totally recommend it. It’s a smaller area but a lot more intimate, quiet and with less patrons. All stays at the glamping accommodation include access to all bathing areas, which means Spa Dreaming Centre is included as well!

I loveeee having breakfast at Peninsula Hot Springs. The Spa Dreaming Cafe is the perfect place for a healthy start to the day. You won’t find burgers and chips on the menu here (at least I never have!) but I think that’s the point! Spa Dreaming Cafe also curates a deliciously light and nutritious dishes. There’s also a yummy menu of juices, smoothies and hot drinks to go with your meal as well. For the glamping package, breakfast with one cold drink + hot drink is included as part of the stay.
