Brr, winters in Melbourne are serious business! Mornings are freezing cold and more and more days are spent lazing indoors and when you are spending so much time indoors, you might as well make it homely, cozy and time well spent, right? Here's a shout-out to six winter updates I am loving having around this season at home..

SUKU SHEETS

I'm a long time lover of SUKU Home. This Melbourne based, Bali artisan made label delivers the softest bamboo bed linen which seriously makes you feel like you're sleeping on a cloud. Pictured here is the red Fuego quilt cover set which I'm loving at the moment. I've actually never had such bright and deep coloured quilt cover on my bed before but I am honestly loving how transformational a bold colour like this is. It brings a feeling of both warmth and energy into the room and the dip-dye technique used to create the white rings give the quilt cover a really special handcrafted look.

HATS AS DECOR

I've finally found a solution to storing my hats and that is as wall decor around the house. They're hard things to organise, aren't they? When I received this personalised hat from Bits and Pieces in the mail, I knew it would be great to use it as a decor piece when it was not traveling in my suitcase with me. I'm loving the natural, dark beige colour of it, it seems to really suit my room decor.

HOME CLOTHES

For afternoons spent lazying around with Netflix in bed, cozy loungewear is definitely on the menu. I love this top I picked up from Cotton On Body recently. Roll neck collars are super essential in this weather and the blush pink colour is such an easy colour to pop on for couch hanging.

BRIGHT BUT WINTER APPROPRIATE SHOES FROM BARED

Winter is all about dark colours and boots but it doesn't always have to be this way! Two styles I am loving from Bared Footwear are the blush coloured Rooster monk shoes and the white and rose gold Bared x Carla McRae limited edition sneakers (similar here!). Both of these add a bit of transeasonal fun to the otherwise gloomy weather. Plus, I can't wait to take these travelling with me soon as well.

HAND CREAM

I always keep a bottle or tube of hand cream near by bed because all the flower crown making and cold, dry weather here in Melbourne gives me extremely dry hands. I love a good non greasy cream and some of my favourites brands include Crabtree & Evelyn, L'Occitane, Kiehl's, The Body Shop and Natio's new home & body range.

RUSTIC PLATES

Ever since pottery class, I have an even larger appreciation and love for hand-built homewares. My skills aren't so up to scratch yet but check out Susan's plates! I've been eyeing them on Etsy for a while and finally caved and picked some up.
